Help needed
Specific requests, with a status.
An offer of help is not an assignment. A coordinator confirms the task and sends directions privately. Roof, structural, electrical, and other hazardous work needs the right qualifications and coordination with existing contractors. Signing up on this website does not establish that someone can do that work.
A licensed electrician
Electrical service in the building has to be safely disconnected before roof and ceiling work, and reconnected afterward. This is licensed work. We are looking for an electrician who can advise, quote, or donate time.
Drywall hanging and finishing
Much of the large hall ceiling has lost its plaster, and the wood lath shows. New ceilings are needed before insulation and finishing. We need people who hang and finish drywall, or who can lend tools and a lift.
Construction-law guidance
We need someone who understands construction contracts to help us understand our obligations and options. We are not asking anyone to take a case. A conversation, a reading of a contract, or a referral to the right person would help.
Helping organize the effort
People who can coordinate volunteers, schedule work days, make introductions to tradespeople, or help plan how to pay for what comes next.
