Today, I’m asking for help

Labeled confirmed.

This old schoolhouse is our family’s home. For months we have been working through roof damage, an insurance claim, canceled insurance, and now a repair contract with costs we do not yet know how to cover.

On Friday, October 2, I signed that contract. Today is Monday, October 5, and I am looking at the next thirty days trying to bring all of these pieces together.

I need an electrician. I need help with drywall. I need someone who understands construction law to help me understand my obligations and options. And I need help finding a way forward with the resources we actually have.

There is a lot I still do not understand. I am sharing where we are because I need help finding a way through it.

I cannot carry all of this by myself, and I do not have the money to make every problem disappear. But I believe God can help me find a path I cannot see yet. The words that keep coming back to me are “Fear not.” This morning, the next step was to ask for help.

If you can offer time, materials, an introduction, or help coordinating, I would love to hear from you. If what you can offer is encouragement or a prayer, that matters too.
